Map and Directions for Retford

Round 1 of the league is being held North of Retford, North Nottingham near Lound.
The Wetlands Centre is close to the flying site (Post Code DN22 8SB for those with access to
www.multimap.com or www.streetmap.co.uk on the web).

From the South:

If travelling on the A1 from the South, come off at the junction with the A620 rightwards towards Retford,
turn left at the meeting with the A638 and travel Northwards for about 2 miles.

Before reaching where the A638 forks to the right and the A634 heads towards Blyth on the left, there is a
small minor road on the right to Sutton and Lound. It is possible that if travelling from the South in this way
you may be unable to turn right because of a dual carriageway - I'm not sure about this as its over a year
since I visited! - but if this is the case travel further on and double back. Sorry.

An alternative route coming from the South on the A1 would be to travel past the A620 junction mentioned above,
and come off at Blyth, and pretend you are a Northener. Adopting a Yorkshire accent, double back Southwards on the A634
and follow the directions below:

From the North:

Exit at Blyth (just as the A1(M) becomes the A1 at Blyth - just after Junction is 34 I think - see map) - and take
the A634 South towards Retford. Pass the fork where the A638 joins from the left. A short distance after this point
is a small left-hand turn to Sutton and to Lound. There is probably a sign for the Wetlands Centre.
